Have you seen all of these raptors in our local region?
Just over the past week, members of CSERC’s staff have watched an adult bald eagle swing low over Tuolumne Meadows, an osprey fly past while we were removing invasive weeds in the forest near the Clark Fork River, and a goshawk snatch a squirrel from a tree near Twain Harte. We invite you to send us your own observations or photos of raptors by e-mail. We’ll share them on a new “Raptor Observations” page on our CSERC website.
Please remember to minimize any disturbance to these elusive raptors or any other wildlife species that you may be trying to photograph in the region. Err on the side of caution, and be especially quiet and keep your distance around any occupied nests..
