Volunteer projects coming up quick

For the past several years CSERC has been increasing the number of volunteer restoration projects that we do in cooperation with local public land agencies. This year is no exception. We have already scheduled 15 projects to take place starting this spring and continuing on through late fall.Volunteer projects are a great way to meet other folks who care about the environment, to see scenic areas of our public lands, and to make a hands-on difference for nature. Are you interested in helping out? Contact Julia ([email protected]) to be added to our volunteer e-mail list. We’ll send out notice two weeks in advance of an upcoming project. Then you can let us know if there is one that’s a match for you.

Some of the projects that are coming up in 2014:

– Clavey River swimming holes – trash clean up
– Trail maintenance to beautiful Chain Lakes
– Clear Lake trail maintenance and clean up
– Burt Reed + Crab Fen meadow fencing/restoration
– Leland Meadow native seed collection and planting
– Thompson Meadow off-road route restoration
– Trout Creek off-road route restoration
…. and there are many more!
