Spring 2008 Newsletter
Here are two ways you can help CSERC this year
|
Take part in one of our volunteer workdays!
Depending on agency requests and the vicissitudes of weather, CSERC rallies our members for at least four or five major workday projects each field season. This year we already know that our staff/volunteers will be needed to construct at least two new fences around damaged meadows in the national forest to help to protect the meadows from livestock grazing. Even with plenty of volunteers, those projects will take two separate workdays.
As this newsletter goes to press, Brenda and Julia are working with Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management staffs to find out where CSERC workdays can be most effective this year. We are hoping to schedule our first workday for mid-spring, with the rest coming during the summer season when roads are open, snow has mostly melted, and everyone yearns to get out into nature.

Donate and tell others about CSERC… help them to understand our value
A second highly important way that everyone reading this newsletter can help CSERC this year is by donating. Whether you send us $10 or $10,000, your contribution combined with other donations helps CSERC to pay our staff, pay our bills, and do our educational programs, public awareness ads, and on-going surveys for rare species.
Our challenge is to connect to new donating members and to connect with more large donors. |

You can help CSERC by not only sending us a donation, but by also sharing this newsletter with another family, your friends, a co-worker, or others you know who may want to support CSERC’s important work. Or just tell your friends about us and send them to our website:

We are your hands at work, striving to defend this precious region, its wildlife, and its waters.
