About CSERC

Since 1991, the Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center (CSERC) has effectively served as the foremost environmental defender of more than 2,000,000 acres of forests, rivers, lakes, wetlands, roadless areas, old growth groves, scenic oak woodlands, and other precious areas within the Northern Yosemite region of the Central Sierra Nevada.

There are so many unique threats facing the region and we always strive to collaborate and come up with creative solutions that balance the diverse needs of stakeholders. Each year we deal with clearcutting, new road construction, huge new development projects, the spraying of herbicides, destruction of wildlife habitat, and other threats to wild places and open space.
